Great grey shrike today

By the time this is posted the bird will be somewhere else on the forest, so don't go to old lodge to specifically see it.

Good views from the bench, being mobbed by meadow pipits.  At the top of a birch to the south East of the high beeches.

Stayed for someone there which is unusual.  The sun was bright and low, and anything in the middle of the heath would probably have been blinded.

Woodlark yesterday

Are we getting to situation where woodlarks are seen in every month of the year?

November is now ticked, and January is normally ok.  So question is going to be December.

This one was heard on the pippingford boundary just calling.
