I think this is 37 species, which rather overstates the day, given that plenty of the records were of single events. Birds just did not want to be seen. The total numbers were bolstered by one flock of 45 tits.
Starling and yellowhammer are probably the most exciting.
I guess poor weather, and hiding for moulting are the reasons.
