Notes

Description:- Ian, mike and Martin - muddy, then ok, then drizzly. Wet terrain. Not the best weather for a bird count - marsh tits calling and visible. Maybe they had a good breeding season - redwing and fieldfare have arrived but not in big numbers - a possible chiffchaff, not recorded, about only summer visitor left. - a Dartford warbler heard but not seen was nice - woodlark is quite late to be around - looked the ponies and cattle. Kevin was around at the end, and had a good chat to him. - highlight was a cormorant who was probably a little confused on the must and trying to get back to Pippingford Martin
