1st August 2017 ... weekly volunteers

Present:

Mike p, Mike m, Jonathan, Steve, Bob, Ray, Keith, new David, Ian, Neil, Stuart, Terry and Martin

Activities:

- looked the ponies and cattle
- moved the notice post that was in the car park into the tool shed
- pulled the odd ragwort
- cut a lot of bracken on the ol2 side of the cricket pitch, and along the various tracks in ol2
- got the gate there back into working order by cutting and digging out the Various tussocks and any hills. Some more work to be done on it.
- recut bracken along two paths that cross the central fence
- cut bracken on edge of the m1 and on path up to the car park
- put some brochures in the box there

Observations:

- possible crossbill
- wax caps at cricket field
- dodder along the road
- brimstone and common blue butterflies
- Brown hawker
- ponies very friendly at coffee time
- nice weather with cooling breeze
- buzzards, Raven
