Activities:
- looked the 2 ponies
- moved the spare oak post back into the tool store
- big sweep under the power lines, up to the bench and back, pulling bracken
- the triangle of paths through thick bracken under the power lines south of the stream was cut with various weapons of destruction
- the cherries were watered
- the Irish causeway near the paddy field was completed
- another bundle of birch twigs was prepared for besom making
- the chestnut logs near the roller stand were cut again for firewood
- John did some bracken work on south heath
Observations:
- lots of sundews
- a frog near the paddy field
- crossbill
- sparrow hawk
- Stonechat, blackcap
- small heath, BB chaser, ringlet
- nice, and not too hot
- planned a nightjar count for Wednesday night
- John new attracted some ticks
