Activities:
- looked the ponies and cattle
- two gorse bonfires along Reynard's way. Burning gorse cut a couple of weeks ago and cutting some more
- some final work on the pond in south Heath, including making the upper edge less sheer
- cut down a couple of trees on the boundary bank that were potentially damaging in the long run to the bank.
Observations:
- First bonfire of the winter. Quite cold and a bit damp to start with. Reasonably safe where we were, but the ground is still remarkably dry.
- kestrel, crossbills, redpolls, sea gull
- Paul keeping a watchful eye on the fire
