Tuesday, 5 June 2018... weekly volunteers


Description:Present: Anda (+ 2 relatives), Neil, John, John new, Keith, Bernard, Mike m, Mike p, Terry, David w, Ben, Ray, Jonathan, Paul, and Martin. Nick from swt was with us. Activities: - looked the ponies - put up the two remaining posts need for the kissing gate - moved all the big wood piles at the car park. Removed some trending nails and barb. Stacked behind the tool store. - moved three loads of logs from ol2 - cut bracken on all the main tracks in ol2, and much from the open space - pulled bracken along the M1 and across to the cross roads - cut bracken along the edge of the slope towards the bench, and along the path to the car park - cut some logs in the tool store - cleared out the pipe and culvert on boundary with foresters cottage near the end of the power lines - did some work to slow the flow of water down the hill from the ponds under the power lines - did the best box work that was washed out last week Observations: - flock of maybe a dozen crossbills - Keith sold some of his honey, with donations going to the purchase of a froe for the tool shed - Gary tried to move the ponies to chailley, but failed at this attempt.
